Start your rental directly from the Bluecity app

We are delighted to introduce the possibility of starting your rental directly from your Bluecity app!

Renting directly from the app has a few benefits. For example, you can save some of your precious time: you can start your rental even before arriving at the Bluecity station, and once you reach your car, simply tap your membership card on the car reader to unlock it, unplug it and drive off.

You can also use this feature if you have reserved your car, but you can’t reach it before the reservation expires: start your rental before the reservation time runs out and you won’t lose it.

And what if the car that was automatically selected for you doesn’t have enough battery for the journey you had in mind? Easy: when you start your rental from the app, you’ll be able to change the car you’re going to rent to any other Bluecity cars available at that station.


How to use it exactly:

The « Rent » button is displayed if there are cars available to rent at the selected station. After tapping this button, you will see the car that has been assigned to you. If there are other cars available to rent at this station, you can select one of them by clicking the « Change » button. Finally, tap on « Confirm » to start your rental.

You still need to tap your badge on the car before and after your trip even if you have remotely started your rental.
